Abigail's First July 4th-2008

We told Abigail she would see fireworks for the very first time that night. She was so excited she gave us a typical, cute Abigail smile. Luckily, we had a camera handy. :P









She was so eager to see the fireworks, she kept asking when they would begin. So we finally distracted her with visit to the swing. She seemed to enjoy it pretty well.


Because she was still anxious and impatient about the fireworks, mom and dad decided to let her try her hand at driving her cousin Caitlin's car. She did pretty well, but isn't ready for stick shift yet!




Finally, it's dark and mom holds Abigail while dad kindly gives mom a shoulder rub. Abigail handled the fireworks pretty well. She tensed up a little at first, but then she relaxed and enjoyed a few fireworks, before she fell asleep. :P Must have been worn out by all the pre-fireworks activities!




Mike, Jenny, and Caitlin Kampff. (Jenny is Chris's sister.) We had a great time with the Kampffs on July 4th and look forward to next year.

Giggling Abigail

We finally got video up! Now you all can share in our joy of watching/hearing Abigail giggle. (And try to ignore all the "yucka"s). ;)

I can eat my hands

Though she's learned to suck her thumb, Abigail still loves to try to eat both of her hands at the same time. But to quote the sweet little old lady at the grocery store when she first saw Abi, "She's delicious!" I can only assume her hands are indeed delicious, which is why they are almost always in her mouth!

Sleepy Time

We finally got Abigail to sleep in her crib on a regular basis. Woohoo! And she has a new sleep time friend. Though in this picture it looks like she's being attacked by a tiny pink bear wearing a cape!

My Favorite Thing

This is Abigail's favorite pastime. Playing in her exersaucer with nothing but a diaper on. I prefer chocolate and a good book, but to each her own!

Can I GET any cuter?

"Hi. My name is Abigail. I'm a little cross-eyed."

Driving already!

Abigail is already asking for the keys to the car. Here is our compromise. I don't mind saying...she gets cuter and cuter everyday! And she has a beautiful disposition. And did I mention she's now sitting up on her own, has found her thumbs and her feet? Oh yeah! And she's giggling too. Okay, I'll stop! :)

Mom loves chocolate

Annette starts the chocolate fountain at Jane's wedding. I think that chocolate fountain accounted for 10% of her pregnancy weight gain.

Jane's wedding was so lovely. And the sibs were actually in the same room for approximately 5 mins.

Abigail and her Aunt Karen

Abigail loves spending time with her Aunt Karen. They have play time at least once a week. So far we've managed to talk Karen into waiting to introduce Abi to chocolate. :)
